CITpax is active in the field of “private diplomacy” and Track II efforts in the Middle East aimed at building trust and restoring confidence between parties, developing options for policymakers and negotiator, as well as in formulating bridging proposals that are best achieved through discrete back-track channels.

The Centre has developed an extended network of contacts within and outside government (both in Europe and the Middle East) that allows it to play the all important role of catalyst between the official and non-official tracks.
